Changing the Zoom Level

Have you ever found it difficult to read the contents of a web page because the fonts were simply too small?  The zoom feature in IE 7 while not a new feature has been improved and now resizes the page content so that it’s easier to see what’s on the page.

·         Demonstration: using the various Zoom features

o        Change the zoom level by using the Zoom Level control at the bottom right of the screen.

o        Change the zoom level by clicking on the Page icon and selecting a zoom level choice

o        Keyboard shortcuts are Ctrl +  and Ctrl – to zoom in and out respectively

o        Dynamically zoom by holding the Control key and scrolling the mouse wheel

Favorites & History

Where did the Favorites and History icons go you ask?  Your list of Favorites is still accessible from the Menu bar of course; you’ll have to turn the Menu Bar on permanently or temporarily enable it by pressing the Alt key.  Or, if you prefer, you can use the new and improved Favorites Center.

·         Demonstration: using the Favorites Center

o        Click on the Favorites icon at the top left of the screen or press Alt+C

o        Favorites Center is dockable by clicking on the docking arrow at the top right of the Favorites Center when it is opened
