Configuration
When first installed, Internet Explorer 7.0 presents a
configuration screen that requires the user to choose a default search provider
(that is, a search engine) and offers a few optional settings.

Keep my current
default search provider results in using Microsoft’s “Live Search” search
engine
o
Let me select from a
list of other search providers redirects the user to another page after
clicking on the Save settings button where the user can select a different
search provider

We recommend using
the Optional Settings defaults

After selection the
option to select from a list of others search providers and clicking on the
Save settings button, simply click on the provider of your choice
o
If your search
provider doesn’t appear in the list, you can manually enter it in the Create
Your Own area
o
After selecting a
search provider, it’s a good idea to enable the “Make this my default search
provider” option – after all, the idea here is to change the default search
provider
o
If you missed the
last step, you can change the settings by selecting Tools, Internet Options,
Settings, highlighting your choice and clicking on the Set Default button
o
If your provider
doesn’t appear, click on the “Find more providers” link and start the selection
process over
